Bea woke up late but she was not even bothered. She checked her clock and saw that it was already 11 AM but no one even tried to wake her up. She walked out of her room still in pajamas when she heard the banging on their gate.

“What was that?” she asked her brother as soon as she was inside the kitchen. Her brother’s family was already eating lunch along with their father. “You should’ve woken me up.”

“But I want you to rest a little more,” Brix said as he stuffed his mouth with food.

“Did you notice the person banging on our gate? It seemed like you couldn’t hear it from here,” she informed them.

Her father and brother looked at each other as if they were talking in their minds. It was her brother who stood up and asked that they should stay there as he check who was the person who had the audacity to create a scene in front of their house.
