On the Night of the Full Moon

Leaving no choice, I search for an empty but bigger table that can cater to their number before I could get a yelling from our ruthless manager. She already gives me a warning for being late on my first day of work.

I need this job as it was way better compared to being a librarian. Working in the restaurant not only gives me a reasonable paycheck but also allows us to bring home leftover food.

Getting leftovers, most if not all, nights could help me minimize spending dough for my dinner, or if given the chance, my breakfast could also be saved by that.

"Can I have your orders now?" I respectfully asked them. And of course, with a smile on my face.

"Can you just wait for us to call you?" Julian furiously said back on everyone's behalf, including Karen. "we got seated here like for three minutes."

Part of me wanted to drop the order sheet to the table and stab the pen I was holding straight into Julian's eyes when my patience is getting thin already.
