Patience Tested

It seems that my world started falling apart when the sounds of the clock ticking reached my ears while waiting for Karen to open her mouth.

Once she discloses my identity, I'm afraid that will be the end of my time. Karen was a very influential student in the school. Everything she says makes sense to everyone.

"Karen, Can I talk with you for a sec?" I asked her before she could say a thing to them.

"Come on, dude, we are in the middle of discussing something very important." annoyingly says one of Karen's friends. "Have some manners, can't you?"

That statement put my wolf into an undesirable situation when it was not just Karen and her circle of friends looking at me viciously, but most students with us in the library.

I already caused enough disturbance when I drop the book onto the floor earlier. So, before anyone could throw something to my face, I grab Karen's hand and drag her to the corner behind a towering shelf where no one can see or hear us.
