Trent's POV

Mr. Matthews looked over the files I managed to gather to take down my father. There were copies of Lydia's testimony from the hospital - proof that he injected illegal drugs into patients. I watched nervously as he scanned through each page, his eyes narrowing in concentration.

Seeing how thoroughly and carefully he was reviewing everything, I couldn't help but feel a surge of admiration. This guy was really putting his all into making sure we had an airtight case. I can't even imagine how devastating it must have been for him to lose his best friend Daniel like that.

The weight of that loss was written all over the weary lines of his face as he pored over the documents. I almost felt guilty for dragging him back into this darkness.

But I quickly pushed those thoughts aside. This was about more than just me or my family.
