Savannah P.O.V Sitting up in the stands With Jen and her parents on one side, my dad on the other side, and Selena behind me. Dad was invited to come by Mr. Lockwood to come and watch as Dad used to play football in high school and college so this must feel like he’s a young man again. Selena leans forward and whispers to both Jen and me. “What the hell happened earlier? The third quarter was interesting Lucas scored a touchdown from the forty-meter yard line. That is impressive for a young man like himself and what I have been told by Selena who goes doe eyes every time his name is mentioned. I think she may have feelings for him I need to know their story. But anyway, with what Selena was telling me he’s a fellow country student. From Victoria, Texas. Chase P.O.V When we got home Jen and I spoke to our parents about what that prick did during the last moment of the game and what the physicians said. I am only winded and will be fairly bruised no signs of concussions or whiplash so I will live to tell the tale. Walking into the kitchen I see Dad sitting in his usual seat on a Saturday morning reading his newspaper. He hears me open the fridge to grab a drink of orange juice, he puts his newspaper down. “Good morning son how are you feeling after that tackle last night?” “I’m feeling a little sore, but I can manage the pain it’s not stopping me from my morning run today.” “That’s what I like to hear you played outstanding last night Chase your mom and I are so proud of you.” “Thanks, Dad that means a lot to me.” I take a sip of my drink and I grab a banana and take a seat at the table opposite Dad. Savannah P.O.VMy first shift at work is going smoothly. I’m impressing Jen throughout my training today with my waitressing skills. We had a brief discussion about my previous experience at the diner in North Carolina, and Jen showed me how the till worked and told me the table number layout, I was serving tables like I have worked here my entire life. It was coming close to my lunch break and just before I clocked out for lunch Lucas came in with Chase not far behind him. Whilst I am standing at the service bar Lucas speaks to the host, and she points out Selena to him. Jen comes and stands next to me and links her arm through mine as we watch on in admiration of what is going on. Lucas approaches Selena slowly and he looks behind him to look at Chase. Chase nods at him and Lucas nods back. Wow. Chase has sent me the most beautiful arrangement of Calla Lilies I have ever seen. All just to wish me luck on my first day at work. Wow. That is my romantic moment without him even being here to see my reaction or even trying to impress me. Walking into the back with the flowers Jen whistles at them and then looks at me. “Wow, they are beautiful do you know who sent them?” I look at Jen with a huge smile on my face. “Chase sent them.” Jen gasps. “What! No way would Chase have sent them. I put my drink down on the floor next to me as I turn around to look at Chase. “So, before you tell me about the meanings behind the flowers you have bought me could you answer a couple of things for me first?” Chase copies what I just did by putting his drink down after taking a sip and turning towards me. “Hit me I’m an open book.” “Why did you send the bouquet of Calla Lilies?
