CHAPTER HUNDRED-EIGHT

The cave was dark, their only source of light was the flashlights they were using as they walked towards Veratora's tomb. But Elena noticed something suspicious about the fireflies in the cave. She had seen them somewhere but couldn't remember where, but she figured it's better.

"Don't let them touch you," Elena said, still wondering where she had seen the fireflies, then it clicked. She recalled they were called Mesopo fireflies — extremely poisonous files they were made by the first Witch to defend the bodies of her dead children. It is said that a single perch on the skin could be deadly, it was even taught in class. We were shown pictures of the victims and it was not a pretty sight

"Why?" one of the men asked, but before Elena could respond, three out of the five remaining guards suddenly stopped, their skin colour began to turn snow white and they shook and fell, spasming uncontrollably and began to foam in the mouth-a shred of evidence that the files had touched them somehow.
