"How do you expect me to believe you? When I'm unsure of how to verify your identity, warlock," Serena inquired, hoping to find a way to flee and return to the cabin without him following her.

"You shouldn't be afraid of me because if I wanted to hurt you, I would have already done it." Serena's anxiety was not alleviated by Prince Stephen's statement.

"I can't go with you because someone is expecting me to return, and if anything happens to me, it won't end well for you," Serena said, hoping to scare him away.

"Oh I know, I don't want to cross him, so your protector Adrian can come with us. My Aunt just wants you to be safe." Prince Stephen tried to reason with her, but he didn't blame her for not trusting him; he was a stranger after all.
