"I have an idea." Irene suddenly said, still rubbing his back.

Jake did not respond.

"Why don't you avenge your father's death?" Irene said again.

Jake turned to look at her. Then he asked her sarcastically if he should kill himself. She laughed but he did not, he was angry.

"Accuse Fay of murder and have him thrown out of the pack, never to return. Only then, only then my love will you become the Alpha." Irene explained.

Jake sighed deeply, he did not want any more drama in his life, he was already exhausted as it was. But he had to do it, he had to pin the man's death on somebody, he needed to pin it on Fay. Only then, will he be Alpha, of course, he wanted to be Alpha. He looked at Irene and she had a wicked grin on her face, she brought their faces together and kissed him softly on the lips and told him how proud she was of him.
