Charia's PovThe first thing that woke me up was the cries and beatings of Zara's son, Jacob. I woke up to find him standing beside me and whacking me with his little hands to wake me up. Alpha Ryder's PovI made a fool of myself at Alpha Lugard's house and I was furious that I experienced such a horrible scene. He had listened to my request when I growled for all the women in his household to be brought out to my front. But none of them looked like her, had a scent like her. Charia's PovA week later------------------------------------All the staff in the company ran helter-skelter, their heads down and no one answered any of my questions. Even Ice wouldn't even bother to say a word to me. He said he was extremely busy and so were the other staff. I didn't mind because last week it was generally announced how busy today was going to be, the head of different companies was going to have a board meeting which would strongly determine the fate of our company. We've been embarking on a project and the approval of other CEOs would determine the fate of the workers too. Everyone was putting in their best just to be impressive.As the coffee girl, I wasn't assigned any duty, so I just watched the drama going on. Alpha Ryder's POVI was running mad once more when I noticed that scent. 'Not here Ryder, Not here' I had told myself. I was in an important meeting and smelling the mystery girl wasn't even the right choice. It was just going to make me lose all focus and concentration. This was not the right place or right time to fantasize about her again. Her scent registered to my nose and was getting me crazy, how is it possible that I can smell her here once again? I brought out an inhaler from my breast pocket. Emily handed me one when I complained about having the wrong scent. She made it with her sweat and throughout the week it had helped me smell her instead. I put the inhaler in my nose and breathe in Emily's scent. It was refreshing as always and I would need to have it with me to be able to finish the meeting."We don't see you often and seeing you at this meeting is very special to us, Alpha Ryder," the company owner said and I smiled."It's always my pleasure to be around good things

Charia's PovI faced the wall, buried in embarrassment. Not only did I meet my worst nightmare today, but it happened again…he kissed me, just like that night and I wanted it, I wanted more of him. I couldn't bear to look so weak in front of Alpha Ryder, he was taking it so easy on me and I was missing my chance. He had not sent any of his guards to take me hostage, I was still at his mercy. The best thing to do was tell him the truth, tell him it was Alpha Lugard, my father that sent me to kill him. I didn't want a war to break out, and neither did I want to break my father's heart. I would keep the secret to my grave if that would be the only thing my father would be proud of.I just needed to get away from Alpha Ryder today also, but I didn't think he was going to let me go today now that he had me.
