Chapter Nine

Alpha Ryder's POV

The air was thick with the scent of werewolves at Alpha Lugard's house. I could see about four pack leaders as I walked into the living room. Other werewolves approached each other, flanked by their respective packs. The city leader, Alpha Lugard ranked first place has his seat high up, he was one with sleek black fur and I, the second city Alpha, with russet brown, approached each other with caution but also respect for each other's power.

The other packs moved away from me recognizing my presence and Alpha Lugard came down from his seat with a shocking glare.

As we drew closer, we began to circle each other, the packs watching silently from the sidelines. Despite the tension in the air, there was also a sense of camaraderie among us wolves, as they recognized the mutual respect and strength that existed between the two alphas.

After a few moments, we came to a stop in front of each other, hands touching briefly in a gesture of greeting.
