ALPHA RYDER'S FLAVOR. Chapter Nine
Alpha Ryder's POV___________________________The air was thick with the scent of werewolves at Alpha Lugard's house. I could see about four pack leaders as I walked into the living room. Other werewolves approached each other, flanked by their respective packs. The city leader, Alpha Lugard ranked first place has his seat high up, he was one with sleek black fur and I, the second city Alpha, with russet brown, approached each other with caution but also respect for each other's power.The other packs moved away from me recognizing my presence and Alpha Lugard came down from his seat with a shocking glare. As we drew closer, we began to circle each other, the packs watching silently from the sidelines. Despite the tension in the air, there was also a sense of camaraderie among us wolves, as they recognized the mutual respect and strength that existed between the two alphas.After a few moments, we came to a stop in front of each other, hands touching briefly in a gesture of greeting.

Charia's PovPeople said, don't eat from a stranger, but I bet if I didn't take what I was offered, I would have died of starvation. I was offered a lot of food and I took it and rushed it in without no explanation of why I was starving. It didn't take me long to sleep off too, better than I had ever slept before.When it was midnight, I heard a lot of arguing, it was dark in the room where I was kept, but I still strained my eyes to look at them. I finally came to the consciousness of where I was, in some stranger's abode. Charia's PovThe first thing that woke me up was the cries and beatings of Zara's son, Jacob. I woke up to find him standing beside me and whacking me with his little hands to wake me up. When my eyes were opened, he suddenly stopped crying, he walked over to his mother who was on the other mattress."I'm so sorry, Charia. Jacob can be very annoying" she said putting makeup on her face, she seemed to be in a rush. "His teacher would pick him up soon, you don't have to worry. Alpha Ryder's PovI made a fool of myself at Alpha Lugard's house and I was furious that I experienced such a horrible scene. He had listened to my request when I growled for all the women in his household to be brought out to my front. But none of them looked like her, had a scent like her. Even the rest of the Alphas almost concluded that I was mentally down and I needed rest.How did that happen? Charia's PovA week later------------------------------------All the staff in the company ran helter-skelter, their heads down and no one answered any of my questions. Even Ice wouldn't even bother to say a word to me. He said he was extremely busy and so were the other staff. I didn't mind because last week it was generally announced how busy today was going to be, the head of different companies was going to have a board meeting which would strongly determine the fate of our company. We've been embarking on a project and the approval of other CEOs would determine the fate of the workers too. Everyone was putting in their best just to be impressive.As the coffee girl, I wasn't assigned any duty, so I just watched the drama going on.
