KAIN’S POV

“One of my most prized beauties for… Lilith.”

I restrain myself from reaching out to this pretentious bastard that’s walking on thin ice and ripping out his throat.

Instead, I raise a brow at him and respond.

“What?”

“I heard the rumors. The most despised concubine caused so much ruckus since her arrival — no one likes her, and even you have expressed your displeasure towards her as well.”

I frown at the word gossip. It seems a few people have grown lax in their duties to have the time to gossip within my walls.

“I don’t see how one of mine being treated is any of your concern.”

“You see, I’ve grown a liking to the she-wolf since my arrival, and she appears to be equally interested in me as you’ve most likely noticed.” He chuckles like the bastard he is.

“She’s a bit too forward with her desires but that is how I like my woman.” He jokes, laughing out loud.
