CHAPTER 57: BLACK AND WHITE PICNIC

LILITH’S POV:

I groan groggily, finally climbing into my bed after an eventful and yet boring day, and after being stuck by Kain’s side while he worked because he wanted me to.

I’m convinced that he sees me as some stress ball to poke at.

Then there’s Ariel who has locked herself in her room all day, refusing to see me or anyone else.

I’m only grateful that the night has finally come. Hopefully, I will be able to catch up on some sleep tonight.

Just as my head sets on the soft comfy pillow and my body rests in the perfect position to achieve optimum comfort, a knock resounds on my door.

There’s no way I’m opening up again. I decide to ignore it at first but the knock comes again after a minute of still silence.
