17. Childhood Betrothal

It's been two weeks since my welcome party. I was pacing in my room back and forth while tension was eating my brain out. Today was the day when The client would decide whom to give the project to. Even though I was confident with my work even Sebastian had shown me the final result of the project, but tension wasn't leaving me.

I heard a knock on my door which drowned my attention. "Yes, come in." As the door opened I saw Mother walking in. She glared at me as soon as she saw me.

"Why are you doing all this, Sandy? You haven't had your breakfast and you skipped your lunch too. It's not good for your health. You should take care of yourself." Mother scolded me and I sighed defeatedly.

"Mother, sorry. I don't have an appetite. I'm worried about the project." Mom's face softened and she moved to me.

"Don't worry about that too much. Like this, you will fall sick. I'm sure Bastian will get this project. I believe in you." She placed her hand on my head and caressed
