They were thugs, with clothes wrapped above their noses, concealing their identity. Everything felt wrong, yet strangely off. The air hung heavy with an unsettling tension.They were frightened, clearly not anticipating anyone to be around or find them.The first one, with a blue cloth over his face, lunged at me, wielding a plank. I engaged, throwing punches into the air with a visceral determination. Some of my blows connected with him, but I didn't care about the hits.
