Reynolds' POV.

"Alpha, you know you shouldn't have done that!" Beta Luke spoke to me as he stood in my room, his head bowed to the ground.

"And what do you mean by that?" I inquired, my brow wrinkled as I gazed at him.

"I mean no offence, Alpha Reynolds, but Willson is Kayla's friend, and she might have misunderstood what had transpired between you two!"

"I bet he won't tell her the truth!" Beta Luke declared with his head still bowed down

What he said was in no way a lie. I knew Willson a bit, and he was above all cunning. There was a good chance he would lie to Kayla about all that had happened.

He would never tell her the truth about why I had beaten him up. I had attempted to contain my wrath when he mocked me, but the moment he criticised my precious little princess, I couldn't help but show him that he meant nothing to me.

"It isn't my fault she has such cunning friends, Luke!" I remarked in a deep voice, regretting not going back home with Willson to see and inform Kayla
