Reynolds' POV.

"Don't push this discussion any further, Mr. Willson!" I warned as my eyes gazed at him, and just then, I saw it in his eyes.

It was obvious that he had given up, and that was what I wanted all along. For him to quit acting so childish and let me have the one I needed and cherished so much.

Besides, there was no way I could let anything happen to Kayla, not when I was deemed to just protect her and keep her safe.

"That's better!" I scoffed as my grip on Kayla's wrist tightened, and instantly, I dragged and pulled her away from Willson's sight.

He was furious, but he dared not push any further, just as I had warned him. It was best if he just stayed still without coming after Kayla anymore.

We left the hospital, and as we reached my car, I opened the door for Kayla and let her get in. She seemed chilly and didn't utter a word to me.
