"You know you can tell me anything right?" I held Kayla's hands and persuaded her to open up to me.

I was aware that Ava's mother had not simply entered her room to meet her. Mrs. Becky was bound to despise Kayla as much as Ava did.

"I am sorry, Alpha Reynolds. I didn't mean to draw attention to myself, but believe me, Mrs. Becky was not here to cause any harm to me. She came here to see how I was doing!" She continued to lie to me, and I could see it in her eyes.
