Chapter Twelve

" I will be returning to Baron country in two days time. When, I get there I will investigate about our daughter. I will let you know about every details and if there is need for you to come, then I will inform you. Have it in mind that we will definitely see our daughter." Kris concluded.

Elvis was in his office feeling so restless. He doesn't know how to  win Amanda's heart. He was confused as to how to ask her out. He was thinking whether to give her a call or just meet her at her office. He decided against going to the office because according to him Amanda might think that he is stalking her.

After some minutes of thinking about Amanda, he made up his mind to call her. "Hello Amanda, this is Elvis. The young man that dropped you at your place of work with an old motorcycle." Amanda chuckled and replied " Elvis, how are you? I enjoyed the ride. Thank you again."

Elvis was so happy to hear her voice and even happier when she said she enjoyed the ride, but he was not sure whether she meant it or whether she was joking, which ever way he was so happy.

Elvis asked "please,  I need a favour from you."

" Yes, what is it?" Amanda asked. " I want to have a lunch with you" replied Elvis. He continued, please do not say no.

Amanda was happy to hear such from him but she doesn't want to say yes immediately, so that she will not appear to be desperate. She said, "Elvis, I am too busy today. That will be next time." Elvis asked her when the next time will be. Amanda told him that tomorrow will be perfect. "That's okay  but please make a choice of the place you want us to go but let it be one I can afford. I am not a rich man. I am a low class citizen"  replied Elvis.

"Okay, I have to go now. I will call you tomorrow to inform you about my choice of the place for the lunch." Amanda concluded and ended the call.

Elvis was talking to himself, "Hahaha, well, she doesn't know that I am the most wealthy man in this country. I know that many people do not know how I really look because I avoid the press  and even public functions, that could be the reason she didn't know or recognize me when we met. I think, I like that. I will give her everything in the future."

At Williams residence, Mandy was discussing with Louis on phone.  " It seems you are joking with me, right? I have given you more than enough time. I have told you that if you fail to get your daughter to get married to me, I will expose all your atrocities." Louis roared.

Mandy said, "I have been trying my best to convince Amanda to marry you but she is so stubborn. Please, I need a little more time."

Louis shouted angrily, "Who is talking about Amanda, here? If you dare mention her name again to me, I swear, I will have you butchered in a million pieces. I want Tricia and not Amanda. You have to be quick about that."

Mandy became so scared because Louis is not a man of an empty threat. She was thinking why the change of choice by Louis. Mandy made up her mind to convince Tricia to marry Louis.

Tricia returned very late at night. She was so drunk. Mandy was not able to talk to Tricia that night until the following day.

Mandy began, "Tricia, Louis has made up his mind to marry you. He said he is not interested in Amanda. He even threatened to cut me into a million pieces if you fail to marry him. Please, marry him and save my life. I don't want to die. You know that I love you so much, please save the life of your own mother. You know that you are my only daughter. Don't allow me to die.  Marry Louis and I will forever remain grateful to you."

Tricia couldn't believe what her mother just said " mother, are you joking or what? I will never marry him. It is better to inform father about this. I will not marry that idiot."

Mandy replied, " we can't tell your father because that will make it worst.  Do you really want me dead?"

Tricia looked at her mother and said " If getting married to Louis is the only option for you to live then get ready to die. I am ready to bury you because I will never marry him."

Tricia left her mother who was in shock as a result of what her daughter said.
