RELOCATION

I stare at the limp body. At my mate who was fast asleep under the covers.

Disbelief overcomes me. That he would leave me downstairs, in that sauna, by myself, so he could go to sleep? The reasoning was utterly lost on me. So much so I stood motionless at the door, letting the living room light pour in.

He didn't budge. Didn't stir even as I busted through the door in panic. I hadn't realised when entering the empty room that maybe I was wrong.

I thought that maybe something had happened to him. That I was going to find him, Chris and maybe even John dead in the room.

I back away from the bed, out of the door and into the main room. Shutting the door lightly. I turn, only to walk into a solid frame. Chris looks grim as I look up at him.

"You okay?" He says, grabbing the side of my arms.

I stare at him. Shaking my head numbly. No. I wasn't okay.

Those lips thin, and he rubs the sides of my arms. "I'm sorry." He says. I blink. Sorry? Why is he sorry? He didn't leave me downstairs o
