Ashley/Olivia's POV

My mind raced as I left Martains's office. I couldn't believe what had just happened.

From a maid to personal assistant, it was a drastic promotion. But what did it mean? Was this a trap, or an opportunity?

I had to be careful, but I also had to play along. For now, I would have to accept my new role and see where it would take me.

On a second thought, I reasoned it as a good opportunity. Martains was giving me the opportunity to come closer. I did not even have to stress myself much to achieve this.

I got to the kitchen to see the head maid run up to meet me, smiling. "I heard you've being promoted by the alpha."
