Chapter Nine

"What is it, Kay? You don't look so well." Agnar asked. He tossed the document he was reading on the couch and came over. He snaked his hands around my waist.

I tried ignoring the warmth and sparks I felt from the area his hand touched.

"Nothing, just a slight headache," I quickly replied.

"Did you take your medications today?" he stared at me with worry written all over him.

"I forgot," I replied.

"Sure, you did; come on," he said, dragging me along.

I willingly followed him; he grabbed my medication from the shelf and handed it over to me to drink.

"You should rest," he said to me, and immediately I wanted to tell him that I still had a lot to do.

"But.... "

"Luna is off duty for today," he said, covering me up with the duvet,

"Fine" I replied and I slowly dozed off.

I woke up a few hours later to see him still seated at the same spot I met him when I came into the room. I was surprised that the room was awfully quiet. I wonder where Chatterbox had disappeared to.
