Chapter 30: The Last Line Of Defense
The brief interaction between Thanatos and Asylum stopped after Asylum's words. Thanatos merely closed his eyes and sighed, for he knew that the downfall of one started with the show of arrogance, he wasn't arrogant nor that confident to underestimate his opponent unlike the person behind him. It seemed like all of the gate guards have some complex to them that makes them thing they are superior to every individual. He saw no need to speak any further for the man he was conversing with had shown that he wasn't willing to negotiate with anyone or anything, his only option now was to fight him and win.
