“And tell those guys at Gold House that the Legal team would like to go over the terms of the agreement.”

“Yes Alpha."

It almost went past me but I heard it.

“Oh sorry, sir.”

It wasn't easy for the people from the pack to stop calling me Alpha. Even though we'd been here for almost two years, they were still used to the habits. I didn't mind it though, but as long as we were in the office, I didn't need the human workers mistakenly overhearing and starting to ask questions.

I walked out into the blinding afternoon sun that was the highest point in the sky. It had been extra sunny these few days and I couldn't help but wonder if something was wrong. It was getting closer to winter and it was still so sunny.

On the way, I quickly grabbed some lunch since I missed it due to a meeting. A lot had happened in the past week and it was like twenty four hours isn't enough anymore for the thing I wanted to do in a day.
