I turned for the hundredth time, trying to find a comfortable position but nothing seemed to work out. I lost track of time while trying to fall asleep. After spending the whole day alone being miserable and scared that Bernardo might show up and make me leave his room and the palace after what happened between us; I decided to just leave the room before he showed up.

Which was why I was currently lying in my old bed after over a week away from it. It felt unfamiliar. Partly because I have gotten used to sleeping in bigger and better beds.

Thankfully, no one questioned me when I walked into my old room. They didn’t even acknowledge me. I didn’t mind because I was used to not being acknowledged but after being the center of attention for the past week, it kind of made me sad to be back on my own.
