I didn’t even expect him to react like that. I was just having an innocent thought about my friend. I didn’t even say it out loud. No way my thinking and worrying about Hilan made him jealous.

“Why are you angry?”

I thought. He looked at me and looked away. At least he was no longer clenching the spoon. I let out a heavy sigh.

“What’s wrong?”

Hilan asked. I didn’t even know that he had been watching me. I forced a smile.

“Nothing, I am just sad that you have to leave so early.”

I said. I made sure to lock Bernardo out of my thoughts. He was acting jealous and insensitive.

“Don’t worry, the Orange Moon isn’t that far from where. I can always come back to say hi. If my sister is moving here then you will see me around even more,”

He assured me. I nodded and smiled again.

“The hell you will. Stay in your pack, Lovie,”

Bernardo sneered. The man was just a big grumpy wolfie and there was no stopping him.

“Yes, Your Majesty.”

Hilan mocked. Bernardo growled and got the attention
