Chapter 5

"Passing through, let me in. Amira, it's me, Summer. Guess what happened? The biggest wedding in town became the biggest embarrassment in town." Summer the young lady who had walked in remarked.

Summer was a young 22-year-old girl, her long black hair was tied into a messy bun and she wore sweatpants and a black windbreaker. It was evident, she was coming from her race track.

Summer is a racer and not only race with cars but also with bikes and others. "Come on Amira, are you going to keep me waiting? You know how much I hate waiting." Summer remarked hitting the door again.

The servants were happy that their young madam's friend was finally here, she was the only one who knew how to make their young lady do things. "Miss Summer, this is the young lady's food, she hasn't touched anything since the previous day." The servant told Summer.

"Go preheat the food and return it with a warm glass of milk paired alongside." Summer instructed and they were quick to scurry away to get her orders done.

"They are gone now, you can open the door." Summer said in a more serious tone immediately after the servants left. It did not take much time before Summer held the click of keys, the door was opened and Amira stood with her puffy face.

"Oh my baby, your cute face looks so puffy and swollen like a little bun. The urge to bite them so bad." Summer remarked with a silly smile on her lips which showed she was busy pulling Amira's legs.

"Come in and lock the door behind you," Amira muttered before turning around and walking towards her bed, while Summer had the princess not in distress vibe, Amira gave the princess in distress vibe.

"Filled with so much attitude tch! Tch!"

"What were you saying outside? The wedding of the century became the embarrassment of the century. Whose wedding and what happened?" Amira muttered looking at Summer with expectant in her gaze.

"You haven't seen it? Don't you have your phone with you? You have a TV in your room why is the TV turned off? I can't believe you have been in here and locked yourself in without checking the news of the outside world."

"Turn on your TV, quickly." Summer said to Amira while repositioning herself on the bed. Amira was quick to find the TV remote control which she threw on the ground, she picked it up and turned on the TV.

"JAYDEN HAWTHORNE AND MARINA JONES WEDDING CALLED OFF RIGHT ON THE ALTAR. "

"MATINA JONES GOT MARRIED TO ANOTHER MAN RIGHT ON THE ALTAR."

"JAYDEN HAWTHORNE THOUGHT HE WAS A ORINXE AND COULD DO WHATEVER HE WANTED BUT A WOMAN PUT HIM IN HIS PLACE."

"WEDDING OF THS CENTURY MY FOOT, THIS SHOULD BE CALLED EMBARRASSMENT OF THE CENTURY."

The news channels displayed comments and remarks from the wedding, the clips where Marina got married to another man were shown, and everything was displayed on screen.

"Their wedding was called off? That Marina, how dare she embarrass him like this on the altar, doesn't she give any ounce of respect?!"

"How dare she get married to another man right on the altar, I told Jayden she was a crafty snake.!" Amira yelled upset at Marina's audacity to do some things.

Summer couldn't help but chuckle to herself, "This isn't Marina's fault, you should hear about the whole thing before concluding. Jayden was the one who rejected her on the altar, Marina only gave him a taste of his own medicine."

"Jayden rejected her on the altar? He did that? What exactly happened there?" Amira remarked wanting to know about what transpired.

Summer nodded, she recounted everything that happened at Marina's and Jayden's wedding, she told everything from start to finish. "So all this is Jayden's fault, why reject her on the altar? He could have told her before the wedding that he loved someone else." Summer scolded.

While Summer was talking, Amira was lost in her thoughts smiling like a lost puppy. She was lost in her world of happiness. When Summer realized she was not getting any reply, she turned towards Amira who was lost in thoughts.

"Tch! I am busy helping her and here she is daydreaming. Sigh, do much for being a caring friend. What will I not suffer for being a loving friend."

"Amira!!!" Summer yelled which jolted her out of her thoughts.

"What? What happened? Why are you screaming?" Amira questioned looking around to see if there was something or someone that was making Summer scream.

"I am giving you important information and you are daydreaming? How dare you do that?"

"Oops, sorry Summer I was only trying to imagine what the scene looked like. You should wait downstairs, I wanna take my bath and change." Amira remarked climbing down from the bed in happiness.

Amira's mood took a 360 change which was not surprising to Summer because she knew how much Amira loved Jayden and how she wanted Jayden since high school.

Summer hummed and left the room, Amira picked up from phone from the charger immediately Summer left. Typing something on her phone for a while, a sinister smirk appeared on her lips.

.....................................

Marina stood in front of the huge mansion in surprise, the mansion was huge, it was bigger than her father's and even that of the elites in LA. This mansion was situated on the hill and it looked so huge.

She had expected the man she picked out from the crowd to be one of the poorest but surprisingly he was not. What did she expect, after all, he had bodyguards at his neck and call? How had she failed to pick out the poorest.

"You live here?"

"Yes

"This is my home, I live here alone. The servants stay that way and only come here during the day. My grandfather sometimes comes over to bother me but do not worry, you will like him." Aiden muttered pointing towards the houses while talking.

Looking at her husband again, Marina noticed he had an air of mystery around him which was weird
