The feel of water droplets on my face and the sound of babies crying forced my eyes open. I looked around me and was greeted by darkness.

As the crying voices pierced through my ears, everything came back to me and I instantly sat up. I spotted Frank whom I had stabbed, a little distance from me, passed out.

I realized he had crawled away because he had been closer to me when I fainted. I didn't know how long I was out for but I knew my children were hungry.

The fact that their cries had not attracted anyone was a great source of happiness and relief to me. My clothes were considerably wet, so I sauntered to the boot of the car, giving myself all the strength the universe afforded me.

I pulled out a gown from my bag and wore it over my wet clothes to protect my children from its coldness. I picked up the bag which had my pieces of jewelry and checked it, everything was still intact.
