After leaving Jade's room, I felt really uneasy and went outside. All the available information about her had been sent to me last night but I didn't bother to open it since we decided to play along with her until she gave birth.

However, when she cried and narrated all she had been through, I had a feeling she was being honest. That night I slept with her, she had been scared and not particularly willing but I had had too much to drink to care.

I opened the information on my phone and began to read about Jade Hart. Realizing that she had been telling the truth all along, my conscience began to prick me.

I had thought she tricked me and deliberately got pregnant to trap me so she could live a better life, but now, everything had changed. She was only paying the price for her naivety but was that really a crime?

Was it a good idea to take her children from her? "How can a mother separate from her children?" She had asked me that question in tears and now it bothered me.
