"Tsk, Tsk, Tsk. You would never change," I heard Max's voice behind me and turned.

I stared at him in surprise, my heart racing as I realized that nothing had happened to him. He had pretended to faint and I was so desperate that I believed his act.

"You still tried to hurt me, Jade. How come you get heartless by the second?" He asked.

My eyes brimmed with tears, realizing that I was powerless right there.

"Please, don't separate a mother from her kids," I cried.

"But you separated a father from his kids," he reminded me. "Let's say you didn't know better five years ago, but you came back, you got close to me and you saw how much I struggled. I could not even talk about how I was separated from two of my kids, because of how much it hurt.

You saw all these, and yet you still wanted to take them all away? Why didn't you just come clean before me, especially after seeing my misery."

"Max, those children are my life, how do you expect me to live without them?" I asked him.

I think Max just need sometime, he is angry and hurt, so it's better if jade just understands, he will definitely come around...next chapter pleasssssse

I feel bad for Jade but she never thought of how Max would feel or react. She thought of her feelings. I know the father and son hurt her but Max has changed and she saw the change.
