A mistake

Alexander didn't know why he hadn't realized it a long time ago, every time he saw her, and his heart beat strongly, he had only thought it was because she always brought trouble.

He ought to have known, everytime he saw her smile, and felt happy, everytime he had teased her, and loved the way her face went red.

He ought to have known.

There was a strange connection he felt.

He wanted to be with her, and even as he sat on the bench, watching her talk with Liam, he didn't feel guilty for liking someone apart from Bethany. All he wanted was to give her everything that would make her smile.

He didn't know when he raised a hand and tucked her hair behind her ear slowly.

She looked at him, and blinked.

"Oh, there... I saw something on your face, but your hair was..." He said and pretended to brush something off her face.

"Oh." She said softly and blushed.

She liked him too, and he was happy she had told him, but there was just a lot that would go wrong if he continued on that path
