Alexander was shocked to hear her say that. He had thought she'd be glad to go with him, especially that he had represented her boy's dad at the presentation that took place probably an hour ago.

"No?" He asked and she looked away with a stubborn look on her face. "I came for your boy." He said but she still refused to look at him.

"I'm very grateful." She said and he put his hands in his pockets and leaned against his car.

"That's not how you show it." He said staring intently at her.

"Despite my gratitude, I'd like to let you know that I never asked nor expected you to come. It was all Liam's doing so he should be the one owing you a favor but even with that, he can't possibly go to Paris." Ivy said as she took a step back.

"That's very funny." Alexander replied although he wasn't smiling.

"If that's all sir, then I'd have to resume my work." Ivy said and made to leave but he grabbed her hand which made her shocked. He left her arm and brought out his wallet.

"I'll pay you." He said
