Victoria had to know who Jared Waltz was. I had intended to tell her slowly, but I was sick of hearing her continue to think of Jared Waltz as her savior.

Victoria looked at me. Her eyeballs moved furiously, scanning my face. I thought she would immediately believe what I was saying. Instead, Victoria laughed. She pulled her hand from my grip and turned away, laughing as she walked away.

"Is there no other way to bring down Alpha Jared's image in front of me than to bring up the death of my parents?" She sneered at me.

Damn it!

Victoria always had a way of trying my patience.

"You're only getting more pathetic in front of me, Ace! I know you and Alpha Jared have never been on good terms. But the way you're going about it is shameful! You're an Alpha, but using such petty means makes another Alpha look bad. Know this, Ace! You're just showing what kind of quality you have!" The sharp words flew out of Victoria's mouth. Then she turned and left me dead.
