The fact that I understood that the Lycan was trying to hit two birds with one stick told me that he was not aiming for anything good. But then again, I should have expected it the second he approached me to try and talk to me. I was just too foolish to listen to all common sense.

The man knew that he was playing with fire, and for that, I knew that he was testing Alvize’s patience. However, what he was gaining out of it, I didn’t know. And at this point, I didn’t want to care to find out. The last thing that we needed was trouble, and having heard enough of the Lycan, I knew that his ONE aim was trouble, and that was something that I didn’t want to give him.
