A new rule.

Rose’s POV

“So, are you ever going to tell us what's gotten you so moody?”

I looked up from the book I was looking at, turning towards Jade who looked at me intently.

They were in my room laying on the set of couches I had. Despite being here multiple times they were in a way the size of my room, similar to an apartment. Now all three of us were laying on the couches, Harriet on a phone call, whilst I read a book.

“What?" I asked her.

Jade sighed lightly before leaning onto me and speaking.

“You've been completely out of it since we came. You've barely spoken and even now you're lost in your thoughts. Is there anything wrong?”

If it was anything else, I would have instantly spilled it to them, telling them every detail and asking for advice. For the first time ever though, I held myself back.

The look of Rael's face still haunted me hours after.

It wasn't their fault though. Jade hadn't intended for him to hear and wasn't even aware of his presence. It was all my fault.
