Chapter 27: Alpha Lennon

The only way to find out about the person who had taken the responsibility to look after Daphne was to inquire about it at our university. I patiently waited in my chair as my man dialed the dean's phone number. After two rings on the other side, it was received by the staff. Before my man could have uttered a word, I asked him to hand over the receiver to me.

"Yes, this is Alpha Lennon you are speaking to." I cleared my throat and greeted the person with an authoritative tone.

"Good afternoon, Alpha. How may I help you?" The response from the other side sounded more modest and counted as the girl speaking to his Alpha for the first time.

"I wanted to look after Daphne's records. Daphne Forster." Her name felt so foreign and distant as it rolled off my tongue in a plain manner.
