Chapter 19: Mating Ball

The blissful night passed, and finally, the long-awaited mating ball arrived. Today was D-Day, the day the entire pack members of the Moon Shine pack have been waiting for. It was the annual mating ceremony.

The mating ball is where young werewolves between the ages of 18 and 20 come together from different parts of the pack down to the ballroom center in the palace. They’re addressed by the Alpha, and after the Alpha is done with his opening speech and prayers, the young werewolves feel a surge of strength in them. Their senses are heightened, making it possible for them to smell their mates a mile away.

The werewolves who found their mates before the mating ball are brought forward for blessings and the older werewolves who still haven’t found their mates hope and pray for the moon goddess to smile at them during the mating ball. Widowed werewolves and separated werewolves of the pack are sometimes lucky to find a second chance mate, while others are not.
