I stood on the balcony, staring at the waterfall, lost in thought. It had taken a lot of time for me to get this calm after what transpired in the mating ball. I had such high expectations for this mating ball, and one person had come and ruined everything.

I felt a knot in my heart tighten as I thought about Roxanne. I had no idea if she was still here in the palace or if she was on her way to LA, as I had been too pissed to check.
