Do you think that Aurora would manage to hold up her game? Or would she end up strangling Nicolas before then? Of course, don't forget to vote, comment, and leave a review. Let our little dangerous games begin, shall we?
Dante: I ran my fingers through Aurora’s hair as she lay on my chest. Her hand was under her head as she slept, and smiling down at her, I slowly moved her away, laying her on her pillow before I walked to the bathroom to freshen up. The two of us had work to get ready for, but I figured that getting her something to eat would be a nice small gesture considering that she would be exhausted after the trip and the work we had to finish yesterday. I had to admit, I didn’t really expect it to take us this long to get the apartment cleaned, but I understood now why the maid sometimes took the whole day to get the house cleaned. I changed my clothes, putting on a pair of jeans and a black shirt, thankful for the fact that I brought my luggage here with me. The car was parked down in the building’s underground basement, and that prevented anyone from actually knowing that I was here. Aurora, having given me the basement’s keys, I now had access to directly park the car there and get insid
Aurora: “Alright, the legal documents are good, nothing new here. Anything on our stocks?” I asked the accountant who nodded, handing me the stocks’ sheet. “Our stocks have shown a massive strike up. The new plan of Mr. Dante indeed did show a positive feedback, especially since choosing to announce that Mr. Giovanni was now back as a partner alongside Mr. Mikhail” the accountant said, making me smile. “Excellent, we’ll try to make sure that these stocks keep rising. Just ensure that you don’t lose much by the biddings, and I can add in a nice note of a bonus for you before the month’s end” I said, smiling at the man who nodded in satisfaction “is there anything that we need to discuss about the new contracts that have arrived? I’ve yet to review the new ones but I am aware that you must have taken a look at them, is there anything that we might need to fix up?” “With the other partners, no, but Mr. Mikhail has added a few clauses…” of course, Giovanni had to play this game. I knew
Dante: “How?” Giovanni asked, frowning in confusion. “You don’t seem too happy to see me here, do you?” I asked, getting up from the chair that I was sitting on. Caspian, who I asked to keep the humans inside in case it got dirty, stood a few steps back with a loaded gun in his holster. I knew why Aurora seemed to trust the man more than most of the people in this pack, and though I knew that she must have doubted everyone in her life now, I could see at least that this man and his mate might be different. “What are you doing here, Dante?” He asked, holding his ground, glaring at me. Mattia stood a few steps back, looking at his son who I knew didn’t bother looking at him. If I thought that Giovanni and I were bad, then these two were worse. I, at least, could say a word or two to Giovanni without punching him in the face. Leo wouldn’t even look at his father let alone speak to him, and I couldn’t blame him. Gabriella has suffered more than my mom has at a certain point, and needles
Aurora: “Hey” I said, smiling at Dante who just entered my office. It was around ten at night, but due to the number of emails that I still needed to tend to, I chose to stay a while longer. Dante smiled, but I couldn’t help the frown that formed on my face when I noticed that his smile didn’t reach his eyes. His usual calm and genuine expression seemed harder than it usually was. I got up from my chair and walked toward him, smiling when he opened his arms to pull me in for a hug. His arms tightened around me for a second before he pulled away to look me in the eye. “You okay?” I asked, noticing that he wasn’t being his normal self. He shook his head, surprising me, and pulling him to the couch, the two of us sat down and I shook my head in question, waiting for what he had to say. Dante wrapped his arm around me, pulling me to his chest as he ran his fingers over my hand before intertwining them, wrapping my arms around my own body as he hugged me. I stayed quiet, listening
Dante: I clenched my right fist as I waited for Aurora to open the door, knowing that she was well aware of my presence and yet was refusing to let me inside. My wolf grew more protective as I waited by the door, hearing her racing heart. I had a bouquet of red and white roses in my left hand, and it took me everything not to break the door down as I heard a sob break from her lips. Knowing that I was the cause of it didn’t help in any possible way. “Aurora, please open the door, neonata” I begged again. I had gone to a flower store to get her flowers to apologize for hurting her; however, I didn’t expect to find her sobbing at home, broken from what I said. The way she looked at me back in the office was still stuck in my head, and seeing as I knew that I should have asked her instead of accusing her based on what Caspian said; I couldn’t help but regret speaking to the man to begin with. Again, she didn’t respond. However, I could hear her footsteps inside the house as she walk
Aurora: I frowned as I sat up to find myself inside my room, and on top of my bed. My head throbbed, and my body felt weak despite not remembering putting much of an effort. The smell of food filled my nostrils making me frown, especially since I didn’t remember myself getting up to cook, at ALL. I got up from bed, and couldn’t help the low growl that escaped my chest at the sight of Dante who stood in my kitchen, cooking. He chuckled but didn’t bother to turn to look at me, and catching sight of the roses that were in a vase, on top of the counter, I shook my head as I took a step inside the kitchen. “I take it that you’re not here to kill me just yet” he stated, turning the stove off as he looked at me. “What are you still doing here?” I asked, shaking my head at him. He didn’t respond for a few seconds, studying my expression before he sighed. “I didn’t mean to break something in you, Aurora…” “I asked a question, Dante” I said, stopping him “at this point, it doesn’t even m
Dante: “What are we going to do now?” Aurora asked, shaking her head as she placed her hand on her stomach. The two of us were heading to the hospital where Laura worked for her ultrasound, and despite her being excited about it, I could tell that she was more than just a little nervous. “We’re going to see how far our baby is, and we’re going to make sure that you and the baby are healthy. Yes, she told me yesterday that you two were, but I still want her to take some blood tests to ensure that” I said, looking at my beauty as I drove. If she was going to risk going to Giovanni, I needed to be sure that it wouldn’t be dangerous on her or the baby; otherwise, we would just drop the whole fucking thing and leave just like mom said. My mate, baby, and family were a lot more important to me than some revenge that seemed to be throwing us in random loopholes. “Then what?” She asked, biting her bottom lip. “Then, my neonata, we’re going to go home, to let mom know of this. I am sure th
Aurora:“Anything?” I asked Leo who shook his head.My heart ached, and I knew that something happened, though what it was, I couldn’t tell. Him disappearing like that, and until now. The way he hung up. I knew Dante enough to know that he wouldn’t do that unless it was important, unless, I hoped so. But judging by Leonardo’s reaction, I could tell that Dante wasn’t the type to do such a thing.“Did you at least try to call him again?” I asked, running my fingers through my hair as I did. Leonardo sat beside me, and taking my hand in his, he squeezed it gently. The two of us were already back at Dante’s apartment once we were done with all the work we had to do, and there was still no news on him. Not even a phone call. AND IT WAS A WHILE PAST NINE AT NIGHT!“You need to relax, Aurora, you’re just draining yourself. You haven’t eaten anything all day, and you’ve been pacing around…”“Dante?” I asked, stopping Leonardo, standing up from the couch that I was sitting on. “Shit…” Leona
