Lea:

“idiot,” I muttered to myself, growing somewhat angry with the fact that the Alpha actually asked me to come for him to tell me that he didn’t want anything to do with me. “As if I wanted to be with a man like yourself. Arrogant and stupid, and you never even bothered to say thank you.”

I cut the grass that was on the ground under me as I sat in front of one of the trees. I have been doing it for a while now, and I threw it back on the floor.

“I am curious as to what the poor grass has done to piss you off as much as it has.” He, Ezra, said, approaching me. “Don’t mind me, but you clearly seem to be very angry with it.”

I removed my hand from the grass that I was about to cut and the man chuckled, shaking his head at me.

“I didn’t thank you for what you did for me.” I said, and he raised his hands in mock surrender.

“I wouldn’t want to end up having my limbs ripped apart for offending you.” He said, and I rolled my eyes. “I was just trying to lighten the mood.”
