Chapter 3

Julisa POV (Day Alex Left)

The smell of pancakes and bacon woke me up. I smile at the delicious smell of my adoptive brothers favorite breakfast. Then it hits me and my smile falls from my face. Alex leaves for Alpha training today. What am I to do without him. We've been inseparable as far as I can remember. He is the best brother I could ask for. I'm going to be so lost without him.

I kick the blankets off me and slowly drag myself from bed. Dreading saying goodbye to him. I go to the restroom and jump in the shower. The warm water rinsed the sleep from my eyes. I sigh as I turn the water off and walk out to my closet. Picking out my favorite green with black roses and spiral designed t-shirt off the hanger and putting it over my head. I then slip on my dark blue silver jeans that fit me perfectly and throw my sneakers on and then dry my hair. I walk down to the kitchen dining area where we eat as a pack.

I enter and go to the buffet table to fill my plate. I take a pancake and some bacon with fruit and go take my seat next to Alex. Alex looks at me and gives a knowing sad smile and shrugs his shoulder into mine. Dad sees this action and smiles. He always smiles when he sees us giving any kind of affection to each other. Clearing his throat dad says " Don't fret Julisa before you know it your precious Alex will be back."

I smile at dad " I know I am just going to miss him so much." Alex smiles "I am going to miss you too." Sliding his arm around my shoulders giving me a side hug. Dad's smile seems to grow " Alex you leave in 4 hours. Why don't you two go for a hike and hangout a little more before you leave. I will have an omega pack for you."

Nodding our heads with a smile we agree to go. With renewed excitement I finish eating in a rush. Before I know it we are both out walking in the forest behind the pack house. Alex and I have always loved exploring the forest and mountain side in our pack. As we are walking in a comfortable silence Alex says " Look over there Julisa we haven't been in that direction yet." I smile and nod at Alex turning to follow a trail leading to some big boulders going up the mountain side. Alex helps me climb up the last boulder and slide down the other side into a hidden cave. We continue walking and come out the other side. What we see takes our breaths away. There's a beautiful waterfall coming off the cliff creating a crystal clear spring.

Alex and I smile at each other taking deep breaths of the fresh misty and tree filled air. We both sigh out in complete bliss and take a seat on the ground. After relaxing and just enjoying each other's quiet company. Alex says it's time to go back. I stand up and look at Alex with glassy eyes trying to hold back my tears. Alex takes me in his arms and squeezes me tight. We then turn and head back to the pack house.

The car is ready to take Alex away when we arrive. Alex hugs dad and goes to get in the car waving at all the other pack members and giving some hugs bye as he goes. I see Jason in the corner of my eye smile at me. Jason will be Alex's Beta he will leave to go train with Alex in two years once he turns 14. I have always had a small crush on him even though he is younger than me. I smile back and blush. Jason comes over and puts his arm around my shoulders making me blush more. Alex sees and sends a knowing smirk my way.

Alex gets in the car and we all watch as it fades away in the distance. Jason turns and kisses me on the cheek "Time will go by faster than you think Julisa." My dad clears his throat. We turn to look at him staring daggers at us. "Dad?" I gulped in fear and he reaches out yanking my arm " You never touch my daughter again Jason!" Dad turns pulling me with him into the pack house leaving Jason standing there stunned.

Once inside my room my father slams the door shut. I feel a burning stinging pain in my right cheek as my father slaps me. "You slut how dare you let another male wolf other then your bother and I touch you! Have you no shame. You are to be the next Luna of this pack!"

Shoving me to the ground he growls. "Is this how you repay me your savior? Was it not me who took you in raised, and treated you well? Julisa you are to be mated with Alex when he comes back." Dad stops taking a breath in and clenching his fists.

"Your Luna training starts tomorrow. You are never to touch another male in this pack again! Do I make myself clear?" Dad yells at me. I look up in shock and utter disbelief. Holding my cheek in my hand I stammer "Yyyes Aaalpha."
