Kate POV
Waking up this morning alone was disappointing, but I appreciated Drake’s discretion. Stretching in bed, I had a delicious ache between my legs. Feeling myself go red, I smiled at what we had done last night. I had no regrets and was looking forward to when we could do it again.
Looking at the clock, I cringe. It’s almost time for my meeting with my father. I am expected to give him my decision as to whether I will be the negotiator or not. He already knows my decision; I never turn back from a challenge, and this would definitely be a challenge. And I like to win. A win of this magnitude would solidify my role as Alpha for the Pack.

Drake POV (three days prior) Running into the Pack house and down to the conference room, I go through the open door to see the top warriors, Beta Gregory, Beta Reid, Gamma John, and my eyes finally landing on Alpha Jackson.
