Unexpected part 2

My wolf and Lexi’s circle each other, each sizing the other up. She is first to strike, going for my forelegs and my wolf’s instinct is fast as she dodges easily. Mara had already anticipated this, she is always so sharp and quick. That is one thing I love about her. Lexi’s wolf is back attacking us, trying to put Mara in defense mode but it isn't happening. Mara strikes back and is the first to draw blood.

The crowd cheers this battle is getting more interesting with each minute. Lexi’s strength and mine almost seem to match it is hard to tell who was going to win. But everything inside me tells me that I need to win this fight, to prove myself.

‘We will,’ my wolf mara assures me. I believe her every word with all I have. I believe in her skill.
