The knocks on the door made Kieran respond, "Come in."

The door pushed open slowly, and Serenity peeked her head in. A wide smile adorned her face as she voiced out, "Alpha, may I enter?"

Kieran tapped the pen on the table. "I thought I had forbidden you from this floor."

"Well, since you're somewhat my patient, I thought it would be only right for me to take the chance and check up on you," Serenity stated, inviting herself into the room and closing the door behind her.

"Just because I haven't punished you yet doesn't mean you can cross the line over and over again," Kieran enunciated.

Serenity sighed.

"Why do your words always have to be covered in thorns, Alpha? You know, when you try to talk sweetly, it gradually leads your mood to get better as well. Why do we have to make it bitter for everyone?" Serenity expressed.

"The dungeon is just beneath the pack house," Kieran pointed out.
