Revealed

My breathing was irregular. My feet raced quickly through the long hallway. My hair swayed and stopped once I reached my destination. My eyes were fully rounded.

"Zephyr!" I shouted. I rushed towards Zephyr who was still convulsing.

"Zeph, come to your senses!" I patted his cheeks several times, but it was to no avail. My gaze turned to the two men around me.

"How did Zephyr's condition become like this?" I asked in a trembling tone. My eyes heated up with my eyebrows drawn together. My heartbeat echoed inside my chest like a relentless hammer.

"I'm sorry, Ruby. We don't know how this happened either. He kept moving restlessly with rough movements and then suddenly went into convulsions," Zaire replied with an apologetic face. I patted his arm lightly. I had no intention of cornering him.

"Did you guys give him the potion I made? If so, why is he still in this condition?" I closed my eyes for a moment until tears fell down my cheeks. Afterward, I looked at Zaire and Zacharias in turn.
