I felt like I had been brainwashed by him. This situation doesn't allow me to move. I glanced behind me again, at the chaos of this bar that had risen in the night. Then, my reluctance was interrupted by my overwhelming desire to free my colony.

David's smile breaks into a grin, as his eyes catch the movement of my legs turning around.

"A wise decision," he replied with satisfaction. His hand patted my shoulder briefly, before handing me a bottle of liquid I didn't recognize.

"A sedative," he whispered in my ear. "Use it when things get too much for you to handle."

"What's an example?" I retorted, eyeing the object he had just handed me.

"Rape," she said plainly and clearly. Without any shame at all. "Regardless of whether Hilbert is your Alpha Mate or not, he is still an ordinary Alpha who can lose control. You wouldn't want to be caught in an unwanted situation either, would you?"

He waltzed away from me after giving that warning. And it's not like I didn't understand what he meant.
