Eva's POV

We arrived at the location where the meeting was to be held. It was a grand conference hall, filled with the Alphas and Lunas from the most powerful packs. They were seated around a large table, and I could feel the weight of their stares as we made our way to our seats. I could feel Mark's hand on my arm, a reassuring presence. I tried to keep my head held high, despite the nerves fluttering in my stomach.

Even though he was just here to show me off even when all he does was to treat me like his mistress and maid. For a while, I was sad and angry they I just watched all of them as they talked. I didn't want to contribute to whatever they were saying because I could see his happy the remaining Lunas were with their mates, the Alphas. But mine was pretty different.

Mine was a different story. I was aware that my situation with Mark was vastly different from the other Lunas'. While they were happy and content with their mates, I was here by obligation, not by choice
