Chapter 21

Katerina:

My heart skipped a beat when I heard his words of gratitude.

His hands which were still on my waist loosened as he allowed me to leave, watching as I walked to the bathroom.

I couldn’t help but bite my bottom lip as I tried preventing my smile from growing. The Italian men’s faces were still stuck in my head as I recalled how they looked at me and why Nathan got pissed off in the first place. I shook my head at myself as I washed my hands and face, frowning when I pressed on the bruise before catching sight of how purple it became.

I sighed and walked out of the bathroom. I still didn’t know how bad my stomach or back were, but I could feel the ache with each step I took as the effect of the painkiller wore off, reminding me of its time.

he is getting on my last nerve. he needs to make up his mind if he is all in cause he says he wants to try but then degrades her. she needs to tell him what her mom said cause if he finds out they wanted her to spy on him from someone else it won't go good. ugh
