Chapter 28

Nathan:

I smiled at the sight of Katerina who stood in front of the window, looking at the pack members as they trained.

She wore nothing but a white, sleeveless night gown that reached her mid thighs. The bruises on her back were mostly healed now, her wolf speeding her healing process for her.

I got out of bed and walked toward her, wrapping my arms around her from the back, taking her off guard as I pulled her to my chest. Gently kissing her cheek, I rested my chin over her shoulder, looking at the confused woman who stood in my arms.

“Good morning” I whispered to her “how are you feeling?”

Her plea last night played in my head as she asked for one night to forget that our marriage was something that we both didn’t want. Seeing as she was happy and somewhat content with what we did, I couldn’t help but want our life to be the way it is.

“Morning” Katerina said, looking at me “I’m fine, thank you”
