Colleen had been worried since he heard the news of the overthrown mainlands. He was lying in his bed with Betty after they made love and was deep in thoughts. Betty had gone to take a shower and when she returned to join him in bed, she noticed that he was troubled.
She caressed his muscle-built chest and asked in a soft voice. “What’s wrong, baby?”
He gazed down at her, tightening his hug on her as he replied. “You worry too much. I’ll be fine.” He kissed her on the forehead softly and smiled.
“I noticed that you were far away while we were making love. Was something on your mind?”
“Yes but it’s not something that concerns you. Trust me, I’ll be fine.” Colleen reassured her as he got out of bed to take a shower. “I need to go take a shower.” He exhaled as he spoke.
